My apologies if I have asked this before. I am using PS CS. I have two files that are almost exactly alike save for a few unique features. I am working in one and hoping to just copy and paste to the other one. So far
I am unable to paste in the same place to the other file. Have I forgotten how to do this or am I actually able to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Shift-drag the layer from one doc to the other

Or use Duplicate Layer, with the target doc as the Destination.

Thanks guys. I’ll give those a try though I’m not sure on the Duplicate Layer making the target doc the destination.

I figured the ‘duplicate layer’ thing out about 3 minutes after posting. I had never really paid that much attention to the duplicate layer dialog box since I usually needed to duplicate a layer only in the file I was working with.

Thanks for all the help. It is greatly appreciated.
