Here’s a dilemma.
HAD WIndows version of CS2 – switched to a Mac & they sent me the Mac version. Installed on the Mac. No problems.
Now the Mac is out, and it may be a considerable period of time before I can use it again. My other computer is a Windows laptop.
So to use Photoshop I need to reinstall that Windows version I uninstalled onto my laptop. But since that version was deactivated, will I be able to install it using my Mac activation code? I understand that I am allowed to have it installed on 2 machines so long as I do not use them simultaneously. But these are two different platforms & 2 sets of disks.
It was wiped out & destroyed, not JUST deactivated.
If I buy a Xplatform upgrade though, don’t I then have to uninstall & destroy the Mac version? Then when I get my Mac back I won’t be able to use it on the MAc.
That’s the problem – will only be using Photoshop on one computer, but seems like I have to pay for two?
You buy a platform specific license for one machine that allows for the use on a second on the SAME PLATFORM with certain conditions.
Just exactly how long do you figure to be without your Mac?
Bob
Will be without the Mac for 4 – 6 weeks most likely. Could be slightly more, maybe even slightly less.
Decision’s yours but you only get one platform or the other.
Bob
Isn’t 4 weeks roughly how long a fully functional trial runs?
ya roughly jim. good ideer.
