I want to set up an action where I put an overlay over a photo and on the overlay have the image number automatically be printed to eventually flatten the image for printing. I’d like to be able to batch process this action.

Lightroom does this with ease.

In Photoshop however, you’ll either have to resort to a script (try posting in the Scripting Forum) or you could use File>Automate>Contact Sheet2. Set the layout to one column by one row and play around with the size settings.

Hope this helps.

Hi Todd,

I use a script to put the filename on an image. You can find it here;

It’s the third one down the page. It works with CS1 or newer.

Hope this helps.
