Anyone unable to paste anything in Photoshop? I can paste fine within PS, but I can’t paste from the clipboard or any other application. It’s driving me nuts.

Details please!

What other applications are you trying to paste from?

I can’t post from any application including other Adobe apps like Illustrator. So, let’s say I take a screengrab, I can paste into anything besides Photoshop. Photoshop seems to only use it’s local clipboard and will paste whatever the last thing is I pasted in PS.

I’m using PS CS3, and Vista.

I’m not at my desk right now, but isn’t there some sort of preference about this? Something like "Use clipboard for copy/paste"?

I get a similar issue when my swap file disk starts getting full (XP pro, CS2) and when my RAM is becoming insufficient. Reboot of the PC &\or deleting TEMP files (not to be done without care and knowledge of what is safe to delete!) sometimes gets me back in business. One more time when paste and other commands don’t work properly is when i don’t realise i have an image that is in a mode OTHER than greyscale or RGB.
