Web Galleries – edited html pages don’t display Title, Description

I just spent about an hour titling and adding descriptions for a bunch of image pages in the slideshow web gallery. However, none of my edits appear! They don’t show in the slideshow and they don’t display when I click a thumbnail to go to a page either. How is this supposed to work???
