When creating a new document, the ‘advanced’ options don’t remember to stay expanded if Photoshop CS3 just started. Anyone else have this problem?

Allen,

What happens when you create a new document and save it? A lot of dialogs forget their form when you simply back out of it.

For instance the Curves palette can be dragged anywhere on the screen, but it will only remember its position when you commit it.

And, of course you need to calibrate and profile your monitor. After that the memory properties of dialog windows will be the least of your problems.

this problem doesn’t happen with cs2. it’s a newly introduced problem with cs3. the ‘advanced’ options don’t remember to stay expanded regardless if you commit the changes.

The "New" dialogue has been updated for CS3 and yes, this behavior has changed. Advanced options will stay expanded for the duration of the session however.

Personally, I don’t see it as a "problem". Life’s too short and there are plenty of real problems in the world.

….like uncalibrated monitors!

"It’s now 1200 Greenwich Mean Time, this is London.

BBC World Service.

The news, read by Pamela Crighton.

As it appears now, a group of six furious photographers has tried to enter the premises of Dr. Allen W. A notorious anti colour managed propagandist.

Police forces are still fighting to hold them back, but rumours go that already one photographer has broken the barrier and entered the house.

Eyewitnesses report that this photographer has gone far enough as to vomit over the front entrance doorstep on purpose.

Our correspondent Marc Kovacs is on his way to the scene, and we expect to have his report on our next bulletin of world news."

News Update:

This is correspondent Huey Spyder standing in for Marc Kovacs, who is feeling off colour.

Scotland Yard’s anti-common sense squad are still protecting Dr Allen who is due to meet with the Government’s Pantone Minister, Dr. Ado B. Gamma, in a bid to pass legislation banning colour management.

A Government spokes person said today. "We cannot comment on the possible outcome of this meeting as the issue is far from black and white".

More news in our later bulletins.

News update:

The recently developed anti colour management scandal has taken a new course on the discovery of an underground escape tunnel running from Dr. Allen’s house to a nearby flying club’s airport.

Here’s our correspondent Huey Spider inside that very tunnel. Huey, does the discovery of the tunnel mean that Dr. Allen has abandoned his premises already?

Huey? Huey?!

Well, we lost connection there I’m afraid.
Other sources report Radio Air Traffic specialists are tracking a Cessna 182 Skylane, that has just left British airspace, and is presumably heading for Chile, a country known for it’s total neglect of ICC/ICM policies.

Whether or not Dr Allen is on this plain yet remains unknown.

Now back to Broadcast House. More information about this crisis in our next report.

Breaking News:

Yes Pamela. This is Huey Spyder reporting from the luggage compartment of a Cessna en route to Chile.

Dr Allen is indeed on board, along with a small group of his anti colour management activists.

I am beginning to build a profile of Dr Allen and have overheard them making plans to let rip when they meet with chilian Fernando Qimage – well known for his opposition to Ado B. Gamma’s colour management methodology.

Another of the group’s members Kelvin Gamut was heard mentioning a "wide-ranging and colourful victory".

Dressed in the uniform of that other colourful group The Village People, they have just sung what can only be described as their "war song": C-M-Y-K
