I have no idea why CS3 is doing this.

Whenever I open Photoshop I set my Patch tool to "Source". I close Photoshop. When I restart Photoshop, when Patch tool is reset to "Destination" and I have to change it back to "Source".

Why is it doing this? Should I just learn to use the "Destination" setting to avoid this annoyance? Is Photoshop trying to TELL me something? Or am I just being a blonde who can’t figure out what button she’s pushing wrong? (Sorry, sarcasm intended. No offense to other blondes, I am one and proud of it.)

Help! 🙁

Sounds like a corrupt Preferences file.

Instructions for Blondes, on how to do this, can be found in the FAQs 😉

Hope it does the trick for you.

Eh… it worked. Until I came back to work today. It reset to "Destination" again. I did the Ctrl+Alt+Shift method and all was fine afterwards (and after reseting all my original prefs, grrrr…).

Could my prefs file keep getting corrupted for some reason? I’m having no other problems with Photoshop, just this ONE tool.

Suggestions?
