I have this problem and i think it has to do with a color profile but i am just not sure how to set it up.

I create my psd with a bunch of layers and i have to save it as a flat .bmp file, well when i do that and open up the saved .bmp file, the color for example from light blue goes to purple.

the only solution so far is to do a bunch of cutting and pasting from one file to the next to finally arrive at a reasonable .bmp file

is there a way to save your .psd files into .bmps so the colors never change once you flatten the .psd?

Are you opening the file outside of Photoshop?

PS is colour managed wheras the rest of your image viewing programs – including Internet Explorere – are not.

You need to recalibrate your monitor using Adobe Gamma (for CRTs) or a third party profiling solution.

Also BMPs don’t support ICC profiles.

So if you file is not using your working, that information is lost
