I have Windows XP Professional SP2 installed and I previously had Photoshop CS2 installed which I removed completely before installing CS3. Now with CS3 I have the problem that, when I open a document with CS3 I am not able to close it.

Can you please help me? Thanks.

Is there perhaps a dialog window off screen, still keeping focus, waiting for user input?

This sometimes happens after changing monitor setup (dimensions, 2nd monitor).

Thank you. The window is in focus when I press its X button in the corner. I also have the problem that I am not able to minimize or maximize the picture within PS.

I tried resetting the preferences but vit didn’t work. I even uninstalled and reinstalled CS3 but that didn’t work either.

My single monitor is widescreen at 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Any other advice?

How about FILE > CLOSE?

File > Close works only. But why can’t I close the document by pressing X in the corner?

Thanks.

I’m sorry but I have no idea as to why this problem occurs. It has been discussed in these forums. My question concerning FILE > CLOSE was curiosity on my part.
