Don’t bother with clipping paths. Just save as PSD with a transparent background and place that.

Hi,

Whenever I creat a clipping path around my image in photoshop, save as an eps and then import it into Illustrator to place on my artwork, I see the negative version on the image. In other words, instead of the actual image being placed in my illustrator document, I see the clipping path instead. It’s as if it’s been reversed.

Hope this makes sense!

Look at the Paths palette and the Options Bar. You probably have the wrong icon on the Options Bar clicked. You can see it by the preview thumbnail in the Paths palette.
