When I print an image in Photoshop, it prints with a gray foreground over the image (making the entire image a few shades darker). I have tried using different color and transparent backgrounds, and using different printers, but it still occurs. This does not show up in print previews. The only solution that has worked for me is copying the image onto the clipboard, creating a new image from the clipboard, and pasting the image onto this new page. Although this works, I think there must be a setting to change so I don’t have to do this every time I open an image. I am using Photoshop Version 8 on Windows XP (Service Pack 2).
Thank You!!!

It would help to know what settings you are using to print…

Are you letting the printer manage colour? If so, don’t, let Photoshop manage the colour.
