Recognizing Kodak DX7590 in Photoshop Elements 5.0

Photoshop Elements 5.0 does not recognize my Kodak DX7590 digital camera. The USB cable is connected and I’ve tried using the Kodak dock and connecting the camera directly to the USB (camera turned on) and still when I select "Get photos from camera," the photo downloader does not detect a device attached, even after "refresh list."
