I am using PS CS2. All of a sudden, clicking on ctrl+0, does not zoom the image to fit the screen. The image expands to ~4/5 of the screen. I have 2 monitors … all toolbars & dialog boxes are on the other monitor.

Check to see if you have NumLock checked.

I assume you mean NumLock on the keyboard. No I don’t. But just assure myself I tried both ways … no luck.

Is this 0 on the keypad, or the numbers at the top. Try both.

Hi Don,

Although the 0 at the top has always worked (ever since it was introduced … can’t remember when … I started with PS 5.0) I also tried the keypad … no luck. Note, if the image is less than ~4/5 of the screen, it will expand to ~4/5, … but that is all.

There was a trick with doing Alt+0 with the palettes turned off with the tab key, then putting the palettes back and doing it again.

Well, something like that – never had the problem myself.

You could also check the behaviour with various screen modes (tapping "F" key).

John,

Your first suggestion did not work, but the second … various screen modes (tapping "F" key) … did! Many thanks!!! It gives a full screen enlargement but it would still be nice to find out how to restore Ctrl+0 shortcut. It’s not the shortcut, per se … same result via View menu.

Glad it helped a bit.

You could try Window > Workspace > Reset Palette Locations (after saving your preferred workspace) to see if that helped.

John,

That did it!!! Many thanks. It sure is nice to be in familiar territory.
