Hey guys. I just bought a new laptop, and am going to transfer PSCS3 to the new one. However, my current one contains a lot of brushes, patterns, shapes, etc. that I want to transfer to the new laptop too, and I don’t keep the original files. Does anyone have an idea of how to transfer them without having to download them all over again? Thanks in advance :]

I’m not on a PC with Photoshop at the moment, but try looking for a directory akin to something like this: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3 and within that, a Settings or some other such folder. That will contain all your customized preferences, brushes, patterns, etc. Just copy the directory to the laptop if you like, putting it in the same location, and you should be good to go after installing PS CS3.

And, if you aren’t going to use the old laptop anymore, remember to DEACTIVATE CS3 on the old laptop. That way you’ll still have your two activations.

@Daryl: Thanks a lot for your help :] That helps a lot! Now I can transfer it to my new laptop.

@Rick: I didn’t even think about that, thanks for reminding me :]
