Can anyone tell me please the best way to put a copyright text/logo onto a picture, before posting to a website? Is it ok to just do it in a normal text layer? Or could this be removed by an unscrupulous photo bandit!

Thanks

you could put it on a text layer and then lower the opacity then merge the text layer…it will be hard to remove…

but the best way is still to have a watermark on your image. this time no photo bandit could remove that.

If it’s saved in a format which doesn’t have layers (like jpg) and it’s not transparent, the only way to remove the logo is either by cropping or redrawing.

the watermark is in the filter tab. but you must pay a yearly subscription to a security service like Veri sign to get it to work

It can be touched out by a competent artist. You can embed an invisible copyright in certain files in PS and it is retained in certain Web images, using certain save procedures. I posted the How To a couple months ago, but forgot because, frankly, it’s not worth the hassle.
