here’s what i’m looking for…

notice how the thumbnails i createed on this page are not simply scaled versions of the original image, but a selected *detail* of the original image:

i’m searching, so far in vain, for a utility or plug-in that will let me batch process images to create thumbnails of a size i determine AND prompt me to select a scalable area of each image to serve as the thumbnail.

PS or CS can do it with a little scripting of actions. How _much_ ($) do you want it? 🙂 I see that expensive camera in file 36.jpg. Got money? 🙂

There is at least one free app. that will do that for the Mac.
