changing view menus defaults

would sure like to know how one might be a ble to view images as thumbnails or details and be able to change the default on when one’s searching files to open in photoshop. this is while using the view menus drop down. thanks for this.

You mean in the open dialog?

That’s up to your OS, not Photoshop.

no, when i’m the program’s up and running, and i’m browsing through files to open one. would like it to default to thumbnails, or in some instances details instead of the ‘list’. thanks.

If I understand you, Chris’ answer is still correct. He’s referring to Photoshop’s "File Open" dialog, and I believe you are as well.
