AVI’s too dark?

Hey, I’m putting together some rush rush AVI animations to put in a Powerpoint presentation using CS3/export/’render video’. I’m using default settings for DV/DVCPro NTSC output. My problem is that the resulting video plays back way too dark, not at all like the originals. What to do? Quick!

Ok, maybe I answered my own question but – I used an adjustment layer over everything and that’s pretty good. Then I tried an AVI using Cinepak compression, ended up looking fantastic without the adjustment but with a hugmongus file. Oh well, still open to suggestions…
