Problems with Pen and Tablet

Hello there,

I’ve recently bought Adobe Photoshop CS3, I previously had CS2. In CS2, when I connected by pen and tablet, Photoshop would automatically detect and ammend all my brushes so they’re sensitive to touch, etc.

However, with CS3, this isn’t the case. Photoshop doesn’t do anything to the brushes, I’ve tried the shape dynamics but have failed so far.

I’m no expert in fact a total beginner. Had cs3 extended for two weeks and this week bought a bamboo which works extremely well and reacts to pressure

If your using Windows Vista and a Wacom tablet they are having some major problems. They have a debug version of the driver that they are sending to some that looks like it fixes the problems. At least it has for me. Keep checking their web site for a driver update. If you aren’t using Vista or a Wacom tablet then contact support for the tablet.

Hello there,

I’m using a Trust Tablet and Pen, I’ve visited their site and downloaded the drivers for Microsoft Windows Vista, everything is now working how it used to before I upgraded to CS3 and Vista.

It seems to be a hit and miss problem. Wacom at first say they weren’t getting any reports of problems. Now they are getting slammed with them. It probably has to do some software or hardware conflict combinations.

I’m having a problem with shape dynamics, as well. It worked last night but today it doesn’t. I don’t think it is my tablet, either. When I click Shape Dynamics the preview of the brush stroke doesn’t change as it use to.
