Hello,
I have a Canon 5D (12.8 megapixels) and recently started shooting in RAW format. The files are huge (11MB). When I am using the Organizer (Browser) and sometimes the Editor in Photoshop Elements 4.0, the program frequently crashes and I have to restart the program or it will "go blank", and I have to go "Back to All photos" and I lose everything I was working on. My computer (XP operating system) has a 2.93 GHz dual core intel processor and 2.0 GB of RAM. Is this a problem with Photoshop Elements that I can avoid by upgrading to CS3? Or do I need a faster computer? Thanks for any advice you can offer.
Scott

Well, people don’t seem to be having trouble with 5D files in Photoshop CS3. Your computer should be fine — I’m running CS3 with a much less robust machine, and though I don’t use a Canon 5D, my Nikon D200 delivers similar sized RAW files that CS3 handles easily.

But if you want to find out about Elements, maybe you should ask your questions on the Photoshop Elements forum:

Maybe Elements 5 would work better?

Thanks Rick!
I will go ahead and upgrade to CS3. I have been looking for an excuse anyway! Scott
