I shoot about 300 photos on a day out and want to batch run them through auto-contrast. Can you run the auto contrast or auto color correction on a batch basis? I really need to be able to do this as doing it one at a time is a real pain in the fingers.
Thanks for any help on this

Just include it in an action and run the action through File>Automate>Batch.

I am using ver 6 of PS. When I pull down the Action drop down menu, there is no provision for auto-contrast nor do I see any way to add to the list of functions which appears to be pre-set in the program. How do I run an action that is not included in the pull down menu?

Make your own action. It is very easy. The manual or Help explains it adequately. Should take you less than a half hour to learn and a minute to make and you will have learned one of the most useful features of Photoshop.

Be sure to save any actions you make.
