I understand the slight basics of ps. I’m looking to expand my knowledge through courses. Now the community colleges in my area offer courses via the internet. Are there equivalents on the web or should I try to find an in-class program?

Thanks
Pete

Adobe offers online training for many of their products, I haven’t used it so I can’t offer a testimonial:

Another (cheaper) option is to buy the right books and work thru the examples in them. For example, the "Adobe Classroom in a Book" for Photoshop does a good job with the sub-intermediate basics, then pick a good book in your specialty, like say "Photoshop Artistry: A Master Class for Photographers …" if you are a photographer and work thru all the examples on the enclosed CD’s and you’ll have a good handle on how to use Photoshop, I feel.

I’ll bet these two books cost less than most classes.

There is something to be said about having a real live body to ask questions to. Its easy to get stumped when its just you and a book. I’ve taught a couple Photoshop classes and its pretty remarkable how much progress a student can make in that program during the run of the course.

As long as you get a teacher that knows their stuff I’d say a class is the way to go.

Just my two cents
Chris
