Keep working on it for awhile.
Use the smallest paper your printer will accept, and set the options in the printer’s dialog.
You’ll still probably need to cut off the excess.
Jeebus, Bob…
Could you at least get a handle on how to use the forum?
You had already started <
http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc68ec7/0> one thread on this, which I replied to. Maybe it wasn’t all the info you needed, but it was a reasonable start to the dialogue.
And then you start two more without responding in the first thread.
If you need help with how to navigate and post we’ll help. Don’t be embarrassedJust buck up and ask, Man!
Bob,
When your image is on Pixentral, copy all of the code next to HTML, and paste that in your post.
Make sure you copy all. (right click on the code, Select All, Right click again, Copy.
Your first link above doesn’t work, the second shows a tiny pink elephant. I didn’t drink that much at all.
Rob
Phos,
I know how to use this forum. I have been using it for years and had a lot of great help (yours included).
I ACCIDENTLY posted the new thread here and did not notice it until I saw there were 4 messages on the original thread.
Sorry
I know how to use this forum
Had me fooled Bob!
😉
And Phos and John,
Phos
I am afraid to ask what "ICTIOF–FLANG BLAMMIT!" means (and I used to be pretty good a acronyms. But I have a feeling it aint complimentary.
John,
"I cudda been a contenda! I gonna make you proud of me using the here forum!"
Bob,
Other than the standard contrast, brightness, curves, etc., you may want to try adding an additional layer above the original, set it to multiply, and then play with the opacity and brightness sliders on that layer.
The name addendum would be lost on you, Bob, as it’s an inside joke among myself and the people I interact with every day.
actually it’s quite appropriate and on topic for this thread. 🙂
Bob,
You have again given us the worst possible example to work with.
Either you submit an image masked off 95% for privacy reasons asking us what we would do with it, or you give us an image that is so small that I can’t even make a rendition that would satisfy the mouse that roams around in the attic above my head.
Believe me, when a job is really challenging I can work on it all night to get it the way I want, but you really have to come up with something worth the effort.
Rob
Rob,
Sorry about the image. I actually extracted the woman and child from a group picture. Unfortunetly, the picture was taken at low resolution.
And yes, I did not mask off 95 percent this time as I remember taking heat the time(s) before.
I guess I could have increased the image size, but the pixel count was so low anyway, I hate to think what upsizing would have done.
Knowing I could not make it bigger, I tried to make is a wallet size so the mother could carry it with her.
Trying to make the mother happy, to me at least, was worth the effort (on my part), but I do not expect you all to go to the same lengths. I just thougt a couple of hints would help me make it nicer for the parent.
Thanks anyway, and I am truly sorry for causing a problem…. I really have appreciated the help here in the past (and on this one also). I have tried Rastamons suggestion about duplicating and using a Multiply mode. That did help.
BOb
In case you haven’t been directed to the link before, Bob, it’s full of brilliant advice:

When I originally found the source version for the info linked above <
http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html>, I was thrilled that somebody put it all into words. And I learned A LOT from it.
You haven’t caused a problem Bob but you have not grasped that, whatever you do with that image, it will not make a nice picture for a wallet!
Just trim the original to wallet size and forget Photoshop!
To answer the original question.. resize your picture to the dimensions you want then print it out
hope this helps

No offense, Granny, but it still looks like the dog’s breakfast.
None taken.. I agree.. but tis a lil better than what the OP submitted and some dogs are satisfied eating their own POOO for breakfast!

I think the human eye can accommodate a poor photograph better than obvious Photoshop manipulation. Maybe it is because Photographs have been around longer.
I am always amazed what happy snappers want to keep when I want to chuck a picture in the bin!
