On selecting a colour range layer (an intricate decorative pattern) and then pasting it onto a background in a new image, the pasted selection layer has a box surrounding it that lightens (makes more pale) the background directly behind it.
Even when pasted onto a transparent background, the grid of black and white boxes(that represents a transparent layer) directly behind the new layer box squares become paler.
Any ideas on why this happens and how to prevent it?
Thanks
PP.
