I just bought Adobe Master CS3 at ebay

Not the best place to buy software, IMO. Call Adobe, they’ll know right off if the software is legitimate.

Hy everyone.

I just bought Adobe Master CS3 at ebay and installed it. For about a week it worked fine and everything worked like it should. Now, PS and all the other Progs ask to register the product on start-up. I would do so, but I can’t. Doesn’t matter which button I click (Register Now, Register Later, Never Register), nothing happens. Like there’s so reaction. I click and click, but I can’t get the dialog to close. Therefore I can’t use the Progs that I paid for. The reseller told me, I should update my MS NET.Framework. I did, but it’s still the same and I can’t use the progs.

What’s the deal with that?
Thanx for ur help.

Hans,

For what it’s worth, you can use the software whether you register or not, hence why you see an option of "Never Register". The advantage of registering is that sometimes you might get a free perk from the manufacturer of the software, but, more importantly the company’s customer support department may be able to help you more than a non-registered user. For example, if you lose an installation CD or DVD, Adobe may provide you a replacement for little or no cost, because they have you registered as the licensed user for a specific serial number. So, registering is to your advantage but is not required.

Apart from an installation problem in general, which seems unlikely to arise after a week of successful use, your problem does sound suspicious and I’d be wary of having an authentic product. Another user in the forum reported buying PS CS3 from a supposedly credible eBay seller, yet they ran into problems with their serial number and reported back that Adobe confirmed their serial number was invalid. If you paid via credit card, your credit card company should be able to assist you in disputing the charge if the seller does not promptly refund your purchase. That said, it is often the case that software cannot be returned for a refund, but only exchanged as defective for a replacement of the same software. As others advise here, I’d never buy software through an eBay seller unless it was low-cost item and/or I had hign confidence in the seller’s integrity.

Regards,

Daryl

A collegue bought PS CS 3 in a authorized Shop near by, he’s got the same Problem. I would register. I just can’t click on that button. If I do, nothing would happen. I can’t even close that register window. I can just kill PS through the TaskManager. That’s it. The Dialog prompts up, when an Adobe application starts. It literally blocks the app, like it wants me to register. But like I said, nothing happens when clicking on either button.
