CS3 crashes when using the magnetic lasso tool

Hi,

Every time I draw on a photograph, trying to make a selection using the magnetic lasso tool, CS3 crashes. This is on Windows XP, new computer w 2GB RAM. Everything else works, and I’ve applied the latest updates to Photoshop and Windows.

It’s submitting error reporting to Microsoft when it crashes, however there is no easy-to-find bug tracker on the Adobe site to report the problem to. Anyone else had this problem and found a work-around?

The traditional cure for this problem is to set your default printer to Adobe Postscript. Cause: Your print driver leaves the CPU in a bad state.
