suggestions on eliminating glare?

Hi all,
I took an exciting picture of a hawk that landed in our yard on the birdbath! I had to grab the picture fast and it was through my computer room window so there is a couple of glares in it.
I’m trying to eliminate them. One isn’t a problem, It was on the ground and I was able to use the clone tool to just copy the mulch over the glare. The other one is more of a problem. Its in the background in a bunch of trees. When I try the clone tool to copy over it it doesn’t match up well because of the tree trunks. Any suggestions of how to do this? perhaps a different tool? I’m still very new to this and am learning how to use the program.

Enlarge an area of the image as much as you can while still seeing what you are correcting. With the clone tool set at a reduced opacity (anywheres from 6%-65%) pick a brush size you are comforatable with (square brushes work best sometimes), clone a small area at a time, clicking more than once to increase the brush stroke.

By using reduced opacity, it blends better at the highly enlarged pixel level, and is easier to "fine tune". This is a time-eater, but depending on the picture needing repair, well worth the time for the results.
