Hello out there

I have a problem with Photoshop CS2.
I search a function who calculates the average deviation. So that I can select a color and then mark an area. Then Photoshop should calculate the average deviation of the area from the color. Perfect would be a output in form of a number, so I could quantify the difference to the ideal.

Look at the Histogram Palette. There are Mean, Median and Deviation information, as well as pixel count.

Thank you very much for the advice! It’s exactly what I’ve searched! Photoshop seems to cope with every task!
