It’s a sad day for me.

My Installer 2 disk of Creative Suite Premium (first version) cracked as I removed it from its case.

Because the version I own is outdated, Adobe suggested I upgrade. An upgrade would cost me $399 just for Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and Acrobat alone. A Go Live upgrade would require an extra purchase.

Right now, I can’t "detect and repair," and my Acrobat Printer isn’t showing up in the drop down printer menus. The obsolete CS Premium first version suits me just fine. In any case, I don’t want to lose Go Live, a program I hardly use but want to keep, nevertheless.

Is anybody willing to share Installer Disk 2 with me? I’ve got my own serial number, and am willing to pay for time and effort (hope this doesn’t break the forum rules).

E-Mensch! Stranger! How the heck are ya? You’ve been gone for so long we have even quit referencing your presence down in"that secret place." 😉

As for your problem, have you tried going straight to the source? And have you asked for a second or third tier manager?

If the Adobe customer support muckety-mucks can’t help you with a legitimately-registered product (even though it’s not the most current release), come back here and YELL!!! and we’ll be right along with you.

Hiya, Phosphor. I’ve moved on to greener pastures-such as YouTube. 🙂

I’m still alive, although much has transpired since I’ve been around.

And have you asked for a second or third tier manager?

No. I spoke to a customer service rep in India who transferred me to Pre-Sales. Frankly, his hard-to-understand accent was grating on my nerves and was relieved when he transferred me to Sales.

Apparently, Adobe only services the current release.

It’s seems unfair to be forced to pay $399 (and then some to save Go Live) for a cracked disk.

This is worse than I imagined. My computer can’t even handle the upgrade.
