I worked for a company who supplied me with Adobe Photoshop CS3 and a second hardrive to use at home. I recently quit and had to return the drive and the PS CS3 Install discs. I now have the CS3 Master Collection. I installed it but Photoshop CS3 will not install because it says there is a conflict (I assume because of the old install that is now gone.)

The old install disc is gone and probably reformatted so I can not uninstall. How can I get rid of the old install so I can install my new version????

I thought about the manual uninstall but the registry scares me.

If you are thinking of adding another HD (always good to have at least two with PS) then the easiest way would be to install the new HD as the system drive, reinstall Windows, CS3 and your other progs, then use the old HD as a data drive/scratch etc.

You can try the CS3Clean Script:

http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html

It’s intended to clean up after beta or release candidate CS3 installations, but it appears useful in getting rid of activation information from retail versions as well.

HTH.

Return address scrambled. Replace nkbob with bobkn.
