I’ve run into trouble with PS7 and Windows XP: When I run Kia’s first original little set of Power Tools, PS locks up. The only error message I get is to the effect that PS is waiting for some input from me. Since the keyboard, mouse, pen, etc. all seem to be dead, this is not possible. I have let it sit 15 minutes with no change. Now, I find that the same thing happens when I try to acquire an image from the scanner.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this something that XP users just have to put up with?

Bear in mind, I can still scan a picture, save, and then pull it up in PS, and the old copies of Corel Photo-Paint and Paintshop seem to use KPT1 just fine, so it’s not like I can’t get the job done. I was not having a problem with Windows 98, either.

Any ideas?

Known issue with KPT. Patched around in PS 7.01.
