I’m looking for a good program to back up my hard drive onto an external hard drive. I want to plug in an external hard drive after a day’s work, and have a program mirror and verify my internal to my external.

I have been using a program that backs up, but if I delete files on my internal drive, or move them around, this change is not reflected in the external drive.

Does anybody have any ideas? I’m presently using 400GB hard drives.

Thanks,
Ellen

SyncBack SE is pretty versatile. It can be configured to do about anything.

I’m using SmartSync Pro – came with my Netgear NAS. I’m very happy with it, easy to use and very versatile.

I used Mr. Mirror 1.x (freeware version) until I moved to SyncBack (also free <http://www.2brightsparks.com/freeware/freeware-hub.html>)

Backup software is often bundled with external drives as well.
