I accidentally removed the far right Toolbar and can’t get them back. Of most concern is the toolbar that displays my layers. Can somebody tell me how to get that back (to display).

Thanks

You wouldn’t have any advise on the best way to line up text. I created a text box and it contains several columns. I don’t understand what is the tool for lining up these columns. Currently using spaces. Of course this makes them off a bit and it does not look good. You can seem to set tabs or stop points as in a word processor.

Any advise is appreciated.

If it’s all in one block of text then just open your Paragraph palette (in the menus goto WINDOW / PARAGRAPH ). In that palette there are buttons for right-justify, left-justify, and center-justify.

If the text you want to align is in many different layers then just link all the layers and use the alignment tools. If you activate the Move Tool then you’ll see in the tool options bar (the bar under the menus) a series of buttons, each of them perform a different alignment function.

Check your help file for more details.

Yes I see that. I was thinking more about having colums of text with in the same block as shown below: In this case, the names (listed under coach) won’t line up becasue they were postioned with spaces. How can I ensure that every name in this column all start at the same indention. Same holds true for each column.

How can I ensure that every name in this column all start at the same
indention…

Make each column in a separate text layer.

I guess that is why many people do the text in Illustrator and the graphics in Photoshop.
I have Illustrator too but not loaded and no time to learn it now. Thanks

Yeah. Unfortunately (or fortunately) Photoshop is not a text tool. It’s getting better at handling text issues, but it’s far from the perfect tool for it.

The only other possibiltiy I could think of for you would be to try using a mono-spaced font. If the text is already formatted using spaces to align the columns, then the same alignment should work with a mono-spaced font.
