sure this question financed and somewhere on this form there has to be information dealing with installation. I am having difficulties getting beyond the "initializing" step of the program. I am unable to go any further with the installation, it actually just plain stops and seems to be waiting for something. Would somebody kindly point me in the right direction with this! Thank you H.W.

Do a forum search for regsvr32 jscript.dll and you may find something that will help.

You may also have run into a situation I did, where the only thing required for a succesful installation to complete was to wait…45 minutes! We are all so accustomed to running installers that finish in a reasonably quick time period that if we see nothing occurring for 5 minutes or so, then it is easy to suspect something is wrong and the installer has frozen up. In this case, the main thing wrong is that Adobe created a very poor installer for CS3. If waiting a while doesn’t take care of the problem for you, you may have to explore other solutions such as that related to the jscript.dll file Michael mentioned.
