I’ve got to look at over 2500 ortho images at 200% magnification (as do 3 other people). I know that ctl-alt-0, and then ctl-+, followed by ‘home’ hotkeys sequence will get me to that view – BUT – I want to automate this so that every image in this bunch will open to that view. Actions won’t record hotkeys, at least I haven’t had any luck. Scripts maybe (I’ll cross post there).

Anyone?

Thanks!

If you’re using CS2 or CS3 they have an Event Manager where you can automatically call an action every time an image is opened.

You’ll find it in the File/Scripts menu/

Bye for now.

I see that is available George, (I’m using CS3EE) but need to make something for it to ‘run’. I can’t make an action for the above mentioned steps (at least not yet) so I was looking for a scripting alternative. Either of these would run under the event manager though…

Thanks (and still looking)

TLL,
You can make it with an action as well:

– Create a new action
– From the Action palette menu, choose "Insert Menu Item" – (While "Insert.." dialog is open) pull down "View > Actual Pixels" and click "OK".
– Again, open "Insert Menu Item…" dialog and pull down "View > Zoom In" – Done

Awesome!

Both suggestions work, and in tandem, and excellently.

Now, what if I want to view @150%? There seems to be no way to record the manual selection of typing in "150%" in the lower left view window and then "enter" – rather than using the zoom from the menu drop downs which use 2x increment.

I know this all can seem a bit picky because it is – that’s what we do, carefully look at sometimes huge aerial image files for hours and hours and zzzzzz…
