PECourtejoie notes (adobeforums.com/webx/.3bc4c9f1/0): "Change blending mode of group to "Normal" and the adj layer will only affect the contents if the group."

This isn’t working as I would expect in CS2. I’m trying to colorize a group of layers.

Whether using an adjustment layer blending mode set to color, or Hue/Sat set to colorize, it affects other layers below regardless of whether group is set to Pass Through or Normal (and regardless of where I place the adj layer). What am I missing?

Is the AL inside the group or outside it?

What I meant by "regardless of where I place the adj layer" is that I have tried it both inside and outside of the group.

Hmm. It’s always worked for me with the AL inside, but I have CS1 and 7. Are you sure the uppermost layers are not blocking the lower layers?

Thanks, Ed – Here’s the result I get:

Putting AL inside, group blend = Normal. All lower layers covered by solid color, EXCEPT layers in group. Group layers colorized normally

Putting AL inside, group blend = Pass Through. ALL layers in group and below group colorized.
