Hi all! Is it possible to save a .psd file without the word "copy" being added the to resulting jpg? I batch 100s of these at a time and go in to remove the word "copy." It’s annoying. Is there a preference I can change? Thanks so much!

Sure is. Best way is to use Image Processor instead to create Jpegs from your PSDs. Just select them in Bridge then go to IP in the tools menu. You can choose the size, quality, and set them to sRGB – all in one hit! You get to choose where to save them and you can even run an action on the files from within IP (so long as the action doesn’t contain any "save" steps).

Give IP a try. You’ll neve go back to the Batch command.

Nice, chrisjbirchall. I do this frequently and having a tool to do it all is better than trying to come up with a good Action.

However, I see a contradiction:

You get to choose where to save them

you can even run an action on the files from within IP (so long as the action doesn’t contain any "save" steps).

It’s like:

The following sentence is true
The preceding sentence is false

"…so long as the (optional) action doesn’t contain any "save" steps"

You choose where to save the files directly in the IP dialogue.

Thanks so much! I’ve never used Bridge or IP. This will be good for me to learn. I appreciate your help!
