Adobe ImageReady CS2 Won’t "Start Plugins" on Load

I have been using IR off and on for a while now for animated gif manipulation….. all of a sudden it REFUSES to load further after "Starting Plugins:"… it just sits there. It runs through the list of plug ins installed by default, but then nothing.

Photoshop opens up perfectly! And I even tried having Photoshop jump my image over to ImageReady by the quick start button from the main tool bar, but it does the same thing.

I end up having to cancel the process within my window’s task manager.

Any ideas on what could be causing this? I haven’t found any weird plugin applications in my installed programs either.

Thank you so much in advance!

I’ve seen the same behaviour with corrupt fonts.
Try removing your last installed plugins (doesn’t matter that they work OK in PS) until you manage to get IR to run.
You could also try deleteing your prefs file as per the Help instructions. TWK

WOO HOO! It was a rouge plug in in Photoshop that did it! And I don’t ever use that plug in, so it was great to actually get rid of it!

THANK YOU!!

Hmmm, a "rouge" plug in eh?
Was it made by Red Paw Media? 😉
Most welcome, thanks for the update.
