While attempting to run Photoshop 7.0, my computer hangs (completely locking up) when Photoshop says "Reading Styles". When I get the machine running again, I go in and delete the files in the Preferences folder. This will allow Photoshop to run once. When I try to run Photoshop again, it hangs in the same place…. Any ideas? I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the softare, same thing happens.

You have a corrupt preferences file for that particular user profile. See the FAQ for details on deleting the Preference file
