I am wondering if you can simply use Photoshop to create High Res documents with TEXT that can be prepared for Commercial Print.

I have been converting them to PDF. Yet they come a little pixelated.

What is the best way to make it sharp when printed?

Do i have to bring the file across to another Adobe Program?

MacBook Pro 16” Mockups 🔥

– in 4 materials (clay versions included)

– 12 scenes

– 48 MacBook Pro 16″ mockups

– 6000 x 4500 px

Saving as PDF with the appropriate choices to retain vectors and text should yield a good PDF.

Please explain on saving a PDF with the appropriate choices?

I just think to layout an ad or brochure, its a lot easier in Photoshop then other programs.

Or is it better to bring it across to illustrator or Indesign for OUTPUT before sending to the Commercial Printers?

That tells me you’ve done very little as far as exploring those programs. If you have ID or Illy, you’d be far better off setting type there.

That’s not because the output will be better, it’s just plain easier and the text tools are far more powerful.

If you have CS3 just save the Photoshop file as PDF instead of PSD and use the press setting.

Acrobat has a ton of quality settings, including high-quality settings for sending for printing. You didn’t say how your work is getting printed, but take a look at Acrobat’s settings. A few years ago I needed to have many copies of some music commercially printed and found settings that led to beautiful results.
