I have similar if not the same error with Photoshop CS3 running under Win XP 64 bit. It worked fine until recently it started to break on opening a second file and now it cannot open even one file. It’s definitely either one of Windows updates or Photoshop updates. Did some of you asked Adobe for support?

Faulting application photoshop.exe, version 10.0.1.0, faulting module gdi32.dll, version 5.2.3790.4033 , fault address 0x00020788.

Then, after 3 seconds:

Fault bucket 571142733

The same version of Photoshop works fine on Win XP 32 bit.

reset the prefrences per the faq?

or set the system default printer to be local, not networked?

I solve problem. It’s @#$% FLEX Licensing Service. Download this patch

And everything to be OK.

P.S. Adobe is lazy. Adobe’s soft is buggy. But I don’t see alternative.

The "fix" is to use a local printer as the default.
