I am using CS3 Trying to make a "Batch Action" I make a New Action / Start Record the open a file, resize it, save it in another folder / Close it / Then Stop record /

When I Try to do my "Automate" Batch the first 2 images everything runs thru just the way I set it up BUT then after those 2 are finished it runs the action all the way to where it is saved and then stops and want me to reach out and touch the Enter key to finished saveing it and then it goes to the next one and next one… But each time of all the next ones (about 600) I have to touch or hit the enter key to save it. AND when later I open that new file it STILL in the same large size. I mean it only made a copy of it and did NOT resize it.

I set it up twice now and the same thing happens. In fact I am remembering I try to make this same action with PS 7.0 years ago and the same thing happen. It even did not resize it.

Any idea’s of what I can do to get it to work right? Or how I can just resize 600 images without doing them 1 at a time?

Joseph,
Why not commit saving to the Batch tool (and not to the action)?

– Exclude "saving" step from your action (uncheck it) – In the Batch dialog, select "Destination:Folder", click "Choose", and define the target path

Try not having the Save location in the action. Specify it in the Batch dialog instead.
