Hey board,

I have someone elses file where their is a canvas of 10.556 x 2.667 and there is a gradient shape in it going light to dark (left to right). Well and good, but they somehow got a curvey shape happening and I have no idea how to reproduce that. I tried to figure out how to copy and paste that layer into another file but that didn’t work. Any thoughts how to make such a thing or how to copy and paste layer elsewhere?

Thanks.

Update: I found a very similiar shape in the custom shape tool (I’m not lazily just sitting on my laurels waiting for a reply here…ha) but it seems to be tweaked ever so slightly. How did he do that?

Okay…copy and paste = drag ‘n drop to the other canvas. Okay–progress.

A non linear gradient can be created in Illustrator, and then imported into Photoshop. Filters could also come into play.
