Any Windows xp users out there that know how to make CS3 the ‘default’ program that Windows recognizes. I just uninstalled CS2 and now can’t open any files out of Bridge into Photoshop without getting a Windows panel telling me that ‘Windows cannot find the program CS2/exe’. Of course I don’t want it looking for CS2 to begin with. Thanks!

there’s a set of preferences in bridge. (edit preferences, i think) in there there’s a file type screen where you can select what programs to use to open different types of files.

I am having exactly the same problem. I posted this question in the Bridge forum but have not gotten an answer yet. I upgraded to CS3, uninstalled CS2 and now when I click on an image in Bridge CS3 it tells me it can’t find CS2. It sounds like what your describing above. What Dave suggested above doesn’t work, the prefs are set to "photoshop" BUT Bridge is looking for a version that isn’t there.

I’ll take back what I said above. Dave was absolutely correct. Mine was set to "Photoshop" . I changed all to , via "browse" to CS3 and now all works just fine.
