BUFFER OVERRUN DETECTED continually suts down photoshop

Hello,

PLEASE HELP!!!!! I’M DESPARATE! I can open photoshop, but almost as soon as I start using it a message reading:

‘Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library’ ‘Buffer Overrun Detected’ ‘Program: …op Elements 3.0\PhotoshopElementsOrganiser.exe’ ‘A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program’s internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated.

I can’t find a way to access 2000 photo’s I havn’t backed up. I’ve learnt my lesson, but PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
