I’m a web designer, so I use Photoshop’s "Save For Web" function quite a bit. In the last few weeks, Photoshop will randomly crash when using Save For Web. I can tell when it’s going to happen because when Save For Web opens, it won’t show an image, just a blank gray panel. Hitting Save, Cancel or Done will close the window and crash Photoshop.

Looking around the web I found some other messages about crashing while saving that involved upgrading and/or disabling Version Cue, but neither of those have helped.

Any ideas on how to fix?

(P.S. Am I the only one that really dislikes this forum format? Why Adobe chose this version over the one Macromedia used is beyond me.)

Oh, and I’ve also upgraded to 10.0.1, no luck.

Try deleting the Save for Web preference file – just hold down CTRL+ALT+SHIFT immediately after hitting the Save for Web menu item. If you are quick enough you will get a confirmation d/box.
