Photoshop Element 4.0 Mac OS

With the Wacom Intuos 3 Graphics tablet I purchased I received Adobe Photoshop Element 4.0. I am not able to install that software On a Mac G5 OS 10.4.11. It starts the install & then tell me that there were errors installing the software. What can I do to get that software installed? I would appreciate any suggestions.

Create a new user account, log in to it, then install from the CD on that user account.

Afterwards, you can delete the user account.

I did set up a new user account but I still get the error message.

Would you happen to be a *Schwager* from the Chicago or New York area? My maiden name was Schwager.
Don’t see that surname around much.
