While editing a smart object, I changed the canvas size. Save and Close back to the main file, the smart object was compressed into it’s former size.

How do I set a Smart Object to be 100% of it’s source file size? I just went to the original, noted it’s size, then Ctrl-T and typed in the size. But is there a way to specify that a Smart Object be 100% of it’s source file size?

Hello controltheweb,
If you changed only canvas size (and not image size), the smart object is not transformed and you can drag its hidden parts into document with the Move tool.

If you changed image size, the smart object still remembers its original size. Just select it in the Layers palette, press [Ctrl+T], and set its Width and Height in the Options bar to "100%".
