So the 16-bit images look correct in PS on the monitor? They just print wrong?

Have you tried using ACR to create 8-bit ProPhoto or ARGB files directly from the RAW? Do they print correctly?

If you haven’t already reset your preferences, try that. Amazing how often that fixes problems, even when it shouldn’t.

Yes that is correct Sid. They look normal but print incorrect. Nothing has changed except the update. ProPhoto and AdobeRGB 8bit or 16bit all look good on the monitor but print incorrect.
The strange part is that 2 computers with two different Canon printers suffer the same problem after the update.

I checked my preferences and they have not changed, however I will reset them and try again.

Thanks Sid.

It is not that the preferences as seen in the Photoshop program dialog change. One of the pref files* can become corrupted due to a variety of reasons and the only cure for inexplicable behaviour is to reset them in accordance with the FAQ.

Even a re-install will not reset prefrences, since these are written after the installation log is written.
