The browser window options set the dimensions (and aspect ratio) of the outside of the browser window. The image area in the window ends up with a wider aspect ratio. This results in an initial (fully zoomed-out) image that is narrower than the browser window (white at the sides only). This can bee seen in the video tutorial at
